Here is the Course Affordability Tracker launched by the Representation Executive Council (REC) in April 2026! This is a database aimed at tracking courses offered at MRU which have low or zero cost for required course materials.

This can include courses that use Open Educational Resources. Some examples of Open Educational Resources include:

  • Open Courseware
  • Lectures
  • Tutorials
  • Openly Licensed Images and Illustrations
  • Open Textbooks
  • Films and Videos
  • Activities and Simulations
  • Assessments and Teaching Resources
  • Case Studies
  • Courses that don’t use any textbooks

On the tracker, you will be able to see historic and upcoming courses that have a low or zero course material cost.

Please note that this database is new and continuing to grow, and we rely on student and faculty support to populate this tracker! If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please contact your Representation Executive Council team at representation@wp300758.wpdns.ca.
